Shawnee Pigeon Show 2009

For many, many years going to the Shawnee
Pigeon Show has been a tradition for AJ & ME
and Jennifer. When Jen married Wade
we then drug him along.
When Madison came along, she joined the party.
At age 9 1/2, Madison now looks forward to the show.
AJ gets to the show around 7:30 AM to get his birds all set up.
Me & Company get there around 11:oo. We check out the birds
and always find someone to visit with.
After looking at 1000 plus birds, we head out to town.
We always go to K-Mart, since there is not one in our area.
A few Christmas Gifts are always purchased.
Then it is on to Lunch. As tradition goes, we always eat at
Golden Corral...YUM YUM!!!

This year Me, Jen, Madison and Madison's BFF, Amy
went to the Pigeon Show. Amy was in awe over all the different
kinds of Pigeons.
Some of the Pigeons we saw were:
West of England Tumbler

There was even some trick Birds!!!!!

Each Breed has it's own Judging Area.

This is a Judge-judging the birds.

At the Show you will see venders selling their wares.
This is a Guy from New Mexico that brought down some of
his Carring Coops to sell.

These are Cut outs of Pigeons. You could Paint them and
hang them on your coops.

These were really pretty necklaces, although
they had nothing to do with Pigeons.

These were really neat! Christmas Cards with
Pigeons on them.
I really loved these.

Now, you never know who you might find at a Pigeon Show.
I saw this Jolly Old Gentleman and thought
to myself could this be.........No not at a Pigeon Show!
But who knows even He may raise Pigeons......
along with his Reindeer!
