Random Acts of Kindness

"Random Acts of Kindness" are something we do that is not ask for. Something a little Above & Beyond what we usually do. It can be for a stranger, a friend, a family loved one, Gods creatures or our earth. There is no certain time or day to do these Acts. You will know when the time is right and afterwards you will know you have done a "Random Act of Kindness" by the warm fuzzy feeling you will get. Go ahead then and pat yourself on the back, you deserve it.

One of the easiest "Acts of Kindness" is a smile. This is my Beautiful Granddaughter Catherine. She is probably one of the smiliest people I know. She is just a young 21 year old Gal trying to make her way in this world, without a pot to pee in, but she isn't stingy with those smiles.

These are Grandaddy Long Leg Spiders. Every year for years, we get a family on our house right next to the front door. Now I could take my broom and knock them down...naaa...live and let live. Out of Kindness to these spiders, that are not hurting ME, I just let them raise thier kids and then they are gone.

A lovely "Random Act of Kindness" is going to a Nursing Home. If you know someone that is there, it is wonderful you visit them. But if you do not know someone in a Nursing Home go any way. Most do not get regular visitors and they just love to talk. You do not have to stay long 15 minutes a week can make a Resident so happy.

A "Random Act of Kindness" for your town is to shop and eat there. Do what you can in your own back yard, do not travel to the city unless you must. Spend your money in your Town. By the way this is a picture of my Town.

One thing I do as a "Random Act of Kindess" for my family is cook what they like or what they ask hint for. AJ will just out of the blue say "gee an Angle Food Cake with Chocolate Frosting sounds good...doesn't it?" Me..."ummm I guess". No more said. The next day when AJ comes home for work Taaa-Daaa!....his cake!I then hope that when just out of the blue I say "Honey I think my oil needs changed" I get the same results!

If you know someone that needs a night out and away from their Kiddo for a few hours...offer to baby Sit. Every parent could use this "Random Act of Kindness" once in awhile.

If you know someone ill or having problems, tell them you will Pray for them...and do it! Prayers should never be "Random" Acts of Kindness.

If you go to a Movie and eat Popcorn and a Drink at the end of the movie take your empty containers and toss them in the trash...do not just throw them on the theater floor. This is a "Random Act of Kindness".

If you have a friend or loved one that needs a ride to the store or doctor, do your "Random Act of Kindness" and offer to take them.

How many times do you park in a parking lot and walk past empty shopping carts on the way to the door of the store. You enter and what is the first thing you do? grab an empty cart! Why not just take one from the parking lot and use? "Random Act of Kindness"?...I think so.

When someone sneezes say "God Bless You" and if needed hand them a tissue. The old belief of why we say "God Bless You" is...in the olden days they believed when someone sneezed, all the demons came out of the body and the body had been cleansed and at that point they would say "God Bless You".

A helpful "Random Act of Kindness" is give your change when you see these little jars, to help someone. Every penny helps.

"Random Act of Kindness" is to thank your Postman or Postgal. Also bake a batch of Cookies and take down to the Fire Station and treat the Fire Fighters.

When you are checking out talk to the cashier. Ask her how she is. A pleasant word will help her long day seem shorter. Also my Daughter does this all the time...if she buys gum or a bag of candy she always opens it and offers the cashiers some. "Random Act of Kindness" I bet you never thought of

One thing as Parents and Grandparents or close friend or relative, we are always invited to a Childs function. It is not always the way we want to spend an afternoon or evening. But do it for the Child. They will remember you cared.

There are so many other "Random Acts of Kindness" like holding a door open, helping someone put groceries in the car, buying the person behind you in line a Coke or Coffee, putting you neighbors paper on the porch, share your garden veggies, be polite when driving, make a positive comment on someones web site or blog, rub your hubby's back afer he comes home from work, give away or donate unwanted clothes, books and houseware away instead of tossing them in the trash, and a very good "Random Act of Kindness" is when talking to a friend or loved one be a good listener.

You probably do alot of these,.... so do I. ♥ :o)
