Meet Johnathon

Cassie graduated from Yukon High School May 26, 2009.
We had 9 out-of-town guests come for her Graduation. They
were with us (at Jen's house) for nearly a week.
~~~
~~~
~~~
It was great seeing Family and Friends. Some we had not seen in over a year.
And there was one Little One I had never seen at all, except in pictures.
That is Johnathon!
Johnathon is a Sweet Little 9 year old Boy.
Johnathon is Cassie's Little Brother.
Johnathon is My Grandson.
Dad is a Firefighter and this is the only time I believe I
ever seen him without his Firefighter's Cap on.
This is One Cool Kid!
I hate it that he lives so far away!
Blog Neglect
Hello Cyber-Space:
For all I know no one even looks at this Blog, so I may be apologizing to nothing.
I am sorry that this Blog has been blank for a number of days.
I have been
to tired,
to busy,
to stressed,
to many "last of the Season final TV Shows",
preparing for out-of-town company,
to many Garage Sales,
to much yard work,
taking my Mom to Drs. 4 times a week,
trying to get AJ into a new Heart Dr.,
listing to many items on eBay,
to many trips to the Post Office,
to much cooking,
to much time visiting on the phone,
and
to much time just doing nothing!
Sorry!
Escargot
This was a Pet for a very short time.
~~~
~~~
~~~
I think by now you know how much AJ and ME love outside

critters.

Well he brought this little Guy in for me to observe for a while.

This Snail is smaller than a shirt button.

~~~
~~~
~~~
After a minute or so he got quite comfortable on my sink.
~~~
~~~
~~~

I was really surprised how fast this little creature could move.

~~~
~~~
~~~
By now I am falling in Love.
But AJ picked him up and gave him a toss outside before Murphy
discovered him.
After AJ tossed the Little Snail out in his own surroundings, he said
"You know if someone offered you a million dollars to find that snail
again, I bet you couldn't".
That set my brain thinking.
We see people and things every day
that we will never see again and
they are just " drops in the bucket of our life".
Sugar & Spice & Everything Nice
Madison turned 9 years old on May 8. Four of her very Best
Girl Friends helped her celebrate.
~~~
~~~
~~~
The Girls arrived at the Party about 6:oo Friday Evening.
First they dined on Happy Meals.
Then they were transformed into Little Beauties.
Cassie did hair, fingernails, toenails, and make-up.
Then they got to pick out formal wear.
~~~
~~~
~~~
If you are Male, you just won't get it! But if you are Female
you know this is the
ULTIMATE !
for a Little Girl.
~~~
~~~
~~~

After a short jaunt around the Neighborhood, the girls
gathered at the table for GIFT Opening.
~~~
~~~
~~~
Madison recieved many Treasures.
~~~
~~~
~~~

She got a CD, by Taylor Swift, from her Daddy.
(Can you find AJ? AKA Grampy)
~~~
~~~
~~~
She had to sing a few of her favorite songs.
~~~
~~~
~~~

Daddy also gave her a Chimp.
(Can you find Daddy? AKA Wade)
~~~
~~~
~~~
After the GIFT Opening,
Madison and herBest Friends, Mom and Cassie
boarded the Van and headed to
Bricktown.
Still in their Formal Wear, they arrived at the
Skirvin Hilton Hotel were they were met by
a Stretch Limo.
The next 45 minutes the Girls toured Bricktown and The City.
After exiting the Limo, the Girls then went on a Horse & Carriage Ride
all around Bricktown.
All good things must come to and end.
After the Carriage ride the Girls reboarded the van
and were sped home.
~~~
~~~
~~~

After arriving home the Tired Little Gals took off the
formals and got into something more comfortable (PJ's).
Birthday Cake was then served.
While they ate Cake
blankets and sleeping bags were spread out in front of the TV.
4 bags of microwave popcorn was popped and a movie started.
Some Girls made it through the movie, some didn't.
The Girls awoke early and nibbled on doughnuts
untill their Moms picked them up.
What a fun Birthday for a Special 9 year old!

Birthday Cake on a Shoe String!!

This is Madison's 9th Birthday, born May 8, 2000.
This morning Jen gave ME a Strawberry Cake Mix and a tub of
Strawberry Icing. And with that she said "Make a cake or cup cakes or something
for tonight (the party).
Well my brain went into action.
I really do not care for this flavor cake or icing,
but it is Madison's favorite.
I head for the pantry and come up with Chocolate Chips.
Then to the Fridge and come up with Cream Cheese.
Well this will help the store bought cake mix and icing.
Now for the decorations?
I find colored sprinkles in the pantry and in a drawer I find
Happy Face Stickers.
Okay I say to myself, this will have to do it.
~~~
~~~
~~~
I mix the cake mix and add the Chocolate Chips.
This is then poured into a large 1 layer round pan.
We will bake this at 350 degrees for 32 minutes.
Out it comes and looks pretty good.
Now we will cool in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes.
Done.
Now run a knife around the edge and say a prayer it does not stick
and turn out on the rack to completly cool.
Oh my, the Chocolate Chips all sank to the bottom. I thought they would be
all through the cake, but there they were, all on the bottom.
Now I have learned through my years of cooking, that no matter how
something turns out,
you say
"That is how it is supposed to be!!!
You are going to love it!!!
Do you want my recipe?"
~~~
~~~
~~~

I then mixed some of the Strawberry Icing into the cream cheese
a little at a time. I wanted more of the cheese taste than the
artificial Strawberry taste in the icing. This turned out a very
Pretty and Girlie Pink.
Now peal off the Happy face stickers and put them gently on the cake
and then a few sprinkles.

SVT = Scary + Violent + Terror

Did you know petting a Cat can lower your Blood Pressure?
~~~
~~~
~~~
I must first tell you I am a "Baby Boomer".
Born in the middle 40's and grew up in the 50's and 60's.
I came from a very disfunctional family (who didn't and who doesn't?).
In those days Children were seen and not heard.
If you did speak up or disagree, you were in big trouble.
I choose to be in big trouble most of the time.
As a child and still today, I always put in my 2 cents.
If you do not want to hear how I feel about a subject
DON'T ASK!
There were situations, when I was a child and a teenager, if I would have just been seen
and not heard (kept my mouth shut), things could have passed smoothly.
But not me.
I always spoke up and there was usually a ruckus.
Later my Mom would tell me
"If you would have just shut up this would not
have happened. It's your fault".
So I grew up thinking all
"Bad Things"
happened because of ME.
If I were to have done things different:
not said that
not gone there
not bought that
not cooked that
not moved that
not watched that
not suggested that
not done that
this would not have happened!
Well here is the POINT.
Yesterday I Blogged that life was Norm and nothing going on.
How mundane life was.
I had no sooner hit the "Publish Blog" button and in the door walks AJ.
"Well, you are are home sooner then I expected" I said to him.
Then I saw it. That ashen gray color.
(About a week ago, AJ had a light bout of SVT)
( rapid heart beat, 200 or more beats a minute).
( It lasted about 15 minute).
AJ had been to a Coin Show, about an hours drive from home.
Just out of the blue the SVT started.
He drove home alone, heart racing.
As soon as I saw him I knew he was having a problem.
I went into SVT Mode. Get him an asprin, find the Blood Pressure Cuff, and try not to
get to nervous.
After about an hour at home, with no let up, we head to ER.
We walk in and tell the staff what the problem is
and they go straight to work.
They too know the Drill.
Infact one of the Nurses has worked with AJ before.
First he is hooked up to the vitals machine.
Then an IV put in.
In comes the Doc.
The heart rate is 196 to 200 beats a minute and this has been going on over 2 hours. The only
way to get him out of SVT is to defibrillate the heart with meds through the IV, says Dr.
This procedure actulally flat lines him!
Then the heart starts beating regular.
Then there is an EKG and X-Ray to make sure of no heart damage
and "Thank you Jesus" there was none.
The Heart Doc was called and adds yet another pill to AJ's cocktail of meds.
It looks like, at this point, we are really going to have to consider the next
Heart Ablation. The first Ablation lasted 4 hours and was a Failed Procedure.
This one will be done with a team of Drs. and will be 12 to 16 hours.
The Heart Dr. told us before that AJ was probably born with this condition
and it has just shown it's self the past 9 years. It will just keep getting worse
and more frequent.
Now here I sit
Guilt Ridden.
MAYBE, if I had not bloged the Blog about how "NORM" things were.
MAYBE, if I had gone to the Coin Show with him.
MAYBE, if I had got up at 5:30 AM and seen him off.
MAYBE, if I had kissed him good-bye and said "Have fun".
Maybe? Maybe? Maybe?
Blog Block---Food for Thought
MMMMM-MMMMM Good!
MMMMM-MMMMM Good!
~~~
~~~
That's what AJ's cooking is
MMMMM Good!
(Can you find AJ's toes?)
~~~
~~~
~~~
I have Blog Block!

This is a condition when there is not much going on in my life but just the everyday Norm things.
There are up-and-coming events in the near furture.
But those will be Bloged as they happen.

Daughter Jen did have a Birthday, but she said

"Mom do not Bl0g this".

So I respected her wishes.

Son Paul also had a birthday but he is out of town

and it is hard to Blog

a phone call.

Since I do not have small Kiddos running around my house-

no cute pictures.

AJ and ME did eat at The Outback Steak House last night,

but I do not want to bore you with an account of

Ceasar Salads, Ribeye Steak. Blackened Tilapia w/ Crab Dressing, Loaded Baked Potato,
Baked SweetPotato w/ Brown Sugar and Honey Butter and littile Mini Loaves of warm
Rye Bread.
AJ is off to a Coin Show today. That would have been a Great Blog, but
I hate taking pictures of Money you can't spend, so I passed on the Show.
The only thing I could come up with was
"my AJ "
is becoming a Good Cook.
A few years back I would never have let him close to a stove or grill.
I was "Old School".
The Woman cooked, cleaned and washed the clothes.
Well I have since became liberated.
When he says
"let's Grill"
I can't get the Apron on him fast enough.
When he starts banging Fry Pans on Sunday mornings,
my nose just goes deeper into the
Sunday Paper.
I am still not to comfortable with him washing
my clothes,
though we are working on it.
Last time AJ washed clothes he found the
Fabric Softener Despenser all by himself,
HE was so proud!
